www.focus2.comPoster Copy: Bickham Script as Rudolph Mary Shelley meet Morris Benton, Classic Type 03 Rudolph the rangifer tarandus (or reindeer) was born in 1939 in the mind of Robert May, an employee of Montgomery Ward. His corporate birth did not stop him from becoming a heartwarming legend, a leader of the pack, as well as a misfit. Despite his deformity, he was able to rise above to be noticed by the supreme commercialChristmas being, Santa Claus. George Bickham the elder was born in 1684 in London. With his work he defined an entire writing institution and became a master in his own time. Combining script samples from various masters, Bickham led the sleigh of penmanship with his book "Universal Penman", which including poetry (much like Rudolph's ode) speaking on type's large influence in our world. He is now recognized as one of the forefathers of script type form, a leader, not unlike a certain reindeer. These two classics have been brought together by focus2 brand development to celebrate the season and the classics which continually inspire and motivate us. ![]()
