And with the recent passing of my good friend, copywriter hero Bill Baldwin, who was the writer for Identity among hundreds of past projects, this award seems even more appropriate. focus2 and Stewart Cohen received a Gold and Silver medal on Saturday at the 2010 Dallas Society of Visual Communications professional show, for our recently published book, Identity: A Photographic Meditation from the Inside Out by Stewart Cohen. And with the recent passing of my good friend, copywriter hero Bill Baldwin, who was the writer for Identity among hundreds of past projects, this award seems even more appropriate. It’s always great to see people that have inspired you—especially, people you’ve worked with in the past—receive their deserved recognition. Steve Frykholm, past client of focus2, has just won the AIGA’s most prestigious honor, AIGA Medalist. And what great company, the other two 2010 winners are John Maeda and Jennifer Morla. I’m very happy to Steve be recognized for this. He’s not only one of the great, trail-blazing designers, he’s a great person. My best to you, Steve.
